How to handle a difficult colleague

Hi, I have a colleague who frequently rubs people the wrong way. This person tends to treat more senior people very kindly, but is rather gruff and short with mid and junior folks. I am really looking for some podcasts/shownotes I can refer to. Can't seem to find any on my own. Any suggestions?
