Question on Resignation Letter

If I recall correctly Manager Tools suggest that I do NOT offer a resignation letter. Is this still the case? did I take this out of context? if not how again do I proceed? Thanks

Yes, that's correct. Never put something in writing that doesn't need to be. You'll regret it if they keep that after you stay because of a counteroffer...

Please do listen to the How To Resign cast, as well.

Mark -

Thanks ... that is what I suspected, so the counteroffer is the only reason not to? (and of course the permanent file).

I have listened religiously to your podcasts since I found out about it (quite awhile ago I might add), keep up the great work, and have a safe, productive, and happy new year.

One suggestion from a gentle listener? How about a podcast for the first 100 days as a new Manager/Director/Supervisor?

Thanks

Tim
