New and idealistic manager from Sweden

Hi everyone! I've just started out managing the face-to-face fundraising program of a major NGO in Sweden. I'm currently struggling with getting to know my new role as a manager and finding ways to improve performance and efficiency within the program. In doing this, manager tools quickly became a key resource - my new Ipod, the show notes and my hastily scribbled down notes are a constant companion on my travels around our country to find new ways to maximize our financial base for... saving the world! ;) What else? I'm 25, miss my girlfriend who lives in the southern part of Sweden, I love my kayak, my computer and living close to the sea and nature. Thank you for a wonderful show! You guys make my day as well as vital parts of my strategic plans for the coming year.

Welcome to the boards Rasmus. Don't feel bad for struggling; it just means you're trying. :) I suspect you're probably harder on yourself than your colleagues would be.

25 with a Swedish girlfriend, kayaking and the sea? Yeah, your life sounds pretty good. Enjoy it!
